Professor Iain Bruce

I am a Professor of paediatric ENT, with a sub-specialist interest in children's ear infections, hearing loss, glue ear, implantable hearing devices (Cochlear Implants and Bone Anchored Hearing Aids), snoring and tonsillitis in children, neck lumps in children, nasal blockage, nose bleeds, drooling and tongue ties.

I am a Consultant Clinical Scientist and Head of Audiology at Manchester Royal Infirmary and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and have over 25 years’ experience in the field of audiology and hearing implants for children and adults.

I have gained significant experience in the field of paediatric audiology, assessing children of all ages, from newborn babies through to teenagers. I work with many children both with temporary and permanent hearing losses and was the inaugural winner of the BAA / NDCS Paediatric Audiologist of the Year award in 2017.

Miss Lise Henderson

I qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist at Manchester Metropolitan University in 1985. After 10 years working with a mixed paediatric caseload I moved to the Manchester Paediatric Cochlear Implant Programme at Manchester Royal Infirmary where I developed an interest in Auditory Verbal Therapy.
